The Snack Shack, like all aspects of Thousand Oaks Little League, is run by volunteers. Snack Shack revenue provides a critical component of the league’s funding and helps keep registration fees affordable.  Working in the Snack Shack is also a team building experience and great way to meet fellow league families and players.

Upon registration, each family paid a volunteer fee deposit of $100. For those that wish to receive their volunteer fee refunded, your family must work five (5) hours of volunteer time. Volunteer opportunities to get your refund back are available here: Sign Up Genius 

 

Each team is assigned to staff and work three shifts per season as part of its collective contribution to the league. Working your team’s mandatory snack shack shift(s) does not count towards the refund of your volunteer fee. — Weeknight shifts are considered earning hours. These hours will be counted toward your volunteer fee refund hours. 3:30pm-6pm or 4:30pm-7pm

— Weekend shifts: 7am-10am, 9:30am-12:30pm, 12pm-3pm and 2:30pm-5pm

— A minimum number of three (3) people are needed per shift to run the Snack Shack. At least two (2) workers need to be Adults [18+]. Failure to have a full crew may result in the closing of the Snack Shack.

— Paid subs are available! Subs must be hired and paid by the team/parent they are subbing for.  Only subs on the TOLL Sub List are eligible as they have already been pre-approved by the snack shack coordinator. Link to paid sub list: 2024 TOLL Sub List
