Spring 2021 Registration FAQs

Q. How will I be notified when it is time to pay for my 2021 Spring Season Registration?

A.  TOLL will send you an invoice via email that will come from SportsEngine. The subject line reads:
New Bill from Thousand Oaks Little League.

Q. Has CVUSD given permission for TOLL to use the fields?

A.  The school district is currently in the process of reviewing facility use.  We are working closely with CVUSD officials and we expect to return to play at Colina this season.

Q. Will City of Thousand Oaks and Ventura County rules allow for teams to practice at city parks? Current rules prohibit teams from practicing at city parks.

A.   Current guidelines do allow for practices.  TOLL has secured a number of fields through CRPD.  CRPD approved TOLL's practice protocol relating to their fields.

Q. What happens if the season is cancelled after I pay and before the season begins?

A.  TOLL will issue a full refund (minus any credit card fees collected by SportsEngine: $1.00 technology fee plus 3.00% of the payment amount).

Q. What happens if the season begins but then is subsequently cancelled?

A. Our plan is to not begin the season until there is a good indication that we will be able to complete at least most of it.  However, if we are forced to stop our season by the State, County or School District, the TOLL Board has adopted the following refund policy.  Please note that the Board will reevaluate this policy if the season dates must be changed.

REFUND POLICY

  • There will be no refunds given after January 13, 2021, unless the season is shortened or cancelled due to State/County/Local restrictions.
  • A $25 processing fee will apply to all player cancellations, unless the season is shortened or cancelled due to State/County/Local restrictions.
  • TOLL does not refund online payment fees charged by SportsEngine ($1.00 technology fee plus 3.00% of the payment amount is assessed).  TOLL does NOT receive any of the online payment fees charged by SportsEngine. 

COVID-Related Refunds - This refund policy applies if there are State/County/Local restrictions due to COVID-19.

  • TOLL will issue a full refund if the season is cancelled before the season begins.
  • TOLL will issue a full refund if the season is cancelled before April 2, 2021.
  • After April 2, 2021, TOLL will evaluate the state of the league and determine future refunds and discounts.
  • TOLL does not refund online payment fees charged by SportsEngine ($1.00 technology fee plus 3.00% of the payment amount is assessed).  TOLL does NOT receive any of the online payment fees charged by SportsEngine.

Q. What safety measures will be taken this season?

A. TOLL has submitted a complete COVID plan with varying options that will be shared prior to welcoming families back to the fields. 

Q. Will face coverings be required at all times?

A. TOLL's return to play protocols will adhere to current state and local health guidelines and if necessary will be revised as guidelines change.  The most current guidelines can be found HERE.

Q. Besides face coverings, what other measures will be in place to limit the risk of COVID infection?

Q. When will practices and games begin?

A. Current guidelines do allow for practices.  TOLL has secured a number of fields through CRPD.  CRPD approved TOLL's practice protocol relating to their fields. Practices will begin after teams are formed and managers have contacted their rosters.  Now that evaluations are complete, we expect teams to be formed soon and practices to begin early March.  The most recent guidelines state that outdoor moderate-contact sports (red tier) can be played in the purple tier with an adjusted case rate equal to or less than 14 per 100,000.  TOLL anticipates starting games late March assuming the county has meets the current guidelines.

Q. What will the refund policy be if the season does not start according to the timeline from the previous question? What will the refund policy be if the season starts but is subsequently cancelled?

Q. Will spectators be allowed? Will there be a limit on the number of spectators?

A. TOLL's return to play protocols will adhere to current state and local health guidelines and if necessary will be revised as guidelines change.  The most current guidelines can be found HERE.

Q. Your FAQs from Spring Registration states: "TOLL has submitted a complete COVID plan with varying options that will be shared prior to welcoming families back to the fields." When will this be available?

A. Now that new guidelines were just issued less a week a go, TOLL volunteers are working diligently to update the league's return to play protocols and will share them prior to welcoming the families back to the fields.

Q. How do I get my 10% discount?

A. All returning families will automatically receive the discount if registered by the Early Bird deadline of December 31, 2020.   The 10% discount will not apply after the Early Bird deadline.

Q. Do I have to pay a volunteer fee again?

A. Returning families will not pay a volunteer fee this season and will have the opportunity of recouping last season’s $40 if a 3-hour Snack Shack volunteer shift is completed. If Snack Shack volunteers are not allowed due to State, County or School District guidelines, the Board will ensure there will be other opportunities for families to recoup the $40.
