Thousand Oaks Little League uses both youth and adult umpires. Minimum age to umpire is 13. Prior Little League experience is preferred but not required. Training will be offered and mandatory training clinics are held. Youths willing to meet the training and proficiency requirements are always needed, and interested persons should contact the Head Umpire.

It is the policy of Thousand Oaks Little League and Little League International, Inc. to support the umpires in their control of the game; interference will not be tolerated. Rowdy or uncooperative fans, coaches, or players will be directed to leave the facilities. Play will not resume until such individuals have left the facilities.

The League will not tolerate any interference with the umpires, and parents are expected to set an example for their children by respecting the decisions of all league officials, including umpires. Intimidation of umpires or league officials by spectators is not in the spirit of Little League Baseball and will not be tolerated. In case of disputes, the Manager/Head Coach is the only person entitled to discuss the matter with the umpire.
